                        - في ظنّي - أنْ يكونَ مملاً أكثرَ من كونِه مثيراً

                        Talking about every single job I have taken through the

                        variant positions I have occupied in different fields

                        of translation in 3 countries (Sudan, KSA &amp; Egypt)

                        could, I think, be boring thing rather than

                        interesting!

في أدائي للترجمةِ أعملُ من                        <strong>ثلاثةِ مرتكزاتٍ</strong> هي:

                    </p> <p dir="RTL">

                        الأوّلُ هو مفهومُ أنّ

                        <strong>

                            الترجمةَ المثاليةَ هي توازنٌ دقيقٌ بينَ حَرفيةِ

                            القولِ ، وبين المرادِ منه

                        </strong>

                        . فأمانةُ الترجمةِ تستدعي الحَرفيةَ من جهةٍ ، والمرادُ

                        يستدعي المعنى المقصودَ من الجهةِ الأخرى ، فلا الحَرفيةُ

                        المطلقةُ تُثمرُ ترجمةً مفهومةً تماماً ، ولا إطلاقُ

                        العنانِ للمرادِ وحدِه يُثمرُ ترجمةً أمينةً.

In translating, I work on                        <strong>three baselines</strong> as follows:

                        <br/>

                        The first is the conception that

                        <strong>

                            the ideal translation is a delicate balance between

                            the literality and the intended meaning

                        </strong>

                        . Since the faithful translation invites the

                        literality, on one hand, while the purpose invites the

                        intended meaning, on the other hand so that the pure

                        literality does not yield fully understood translation,

                        nor complete reliance on the mere intended meaning

                        yields accurate translation.

                        والمرتَكَزُ الثاني يقومُ على أنّ الكلماتِ تعكسُ شخصيّةَ

                        القائل ووجاهةَ الموضوعِ أو الفكرةِ التي يتحدّثُ عنها ،

                        والترجمةُ غيرُ الدقيقةِ قد تُسيءُ إلى أحدهما أو كليهما

                        ، ولهذا

                        <strong>

                            أحرصُ على أعلى درجاتِ الدقّةِ في الترجمةِ - على

                            حسابِ وقتي الخاص ، وليسَ على حسابِ سمعتي المهنيةِ

                        </strong>

                        .

                        The second baseline is that the words reflect the

                        sayer's personality and the soundness of the subject

                        matter or the point they express, and inaccurate

                        translation could misrepresent either or both aspects.

                        That is why

                        <strong>

                            I bent on the highest level possible of accurate

                            translation - at my own time's expense, not my

                            professional reputation

                        </strong>

                        أمّا الثالثُ فهو اتّباعي لنهجٍ في الترجمةِ

                        <strong>

                            يضمنُ مراجعتَها ثلاثَ مرّاتٍ خلالَ ثلاثِ مراحلَ من

                            إتمامِ الترجمةِ

                        </strong>

                        ، ما يجعلُها نسبياً سليمةً بنسبةِ مئةٍ في المئةِ ،

                        وينفي الحاجةَ إلى مراجعتِها مِن قِبَل مترجمٍ آخرَ ،

                        وهذا

                        <strong>

                            يعني للعميلِ تكلفةً أقلَ ووقتاً أقصرَ على حسابِ

                            وقتي أنا

                        </strong>

                        .  إنني أعبّرُ عن ذلكَ في جملةٍ واحدةٍ بالقولِ: عبورٌ

                        سالمٌ من أوّلِ مرّةٍ إلى اللغةِ الأخرى.

                        The third is that I apply a translation technique that

                        <strong>

                            ensures proofreading my translation as much as

                            three times during three phases of translating

                            process

                        </strong>

                        . This makes my translation almost 100 % perfect, and

                        eliminates the need to get it proofread by some

                        translator else,

                        <strong>

                            meaning less charge and shorter time for my client

                            at the expense of my own time

                        </strong>

                        . I express that in a single sentence by: First-time

                        safe crossing to the other language.
