My wide-ranging experience as a Japanese-English translator spans 16 years and encompasses both in-house and freelance working situations. I regularly translate a variety of documents and texts (main work areas are outlined above) from Japanese into English. In translation as well as other professional fields, I have developed a wide network of contacts through work and education and this has provided me with a great resource of knowledge that I draw on regularly to produce high-quality translations. A non-fiction book that I translated for Harper Collins ('Yoko's Diary') was shortlisted for the 2014 CBCA Awards and the 2014 NSW Premier's History Awards for the Children's Book Council of Australia.
