I have always had a passion for languages and was originally self-taught before studying formally at the University of Oregon, where I double-majored in linguistics and Scandinavian studies. The linguistics side of my education
was an in-depth study of human language in general, covering morphology, syntax, semantics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, and language acquisition. The Scandinavian studies side, in addition to the language component, also covered history, culture, and literature, as well as a component specifically dedicated to translation.
Over the course of my translation career, I have developed a reputation for quality, consistency, accuracy, and naturalness. I have also built up a familiarity with the terminology of many different subject areas, allowing me to work with a broad diversity of projects, as well as having an in-depth knowledge base in many technical areas.
