Source text - Spanish LOS COMPONENTES ESTRUCTURALES DE LA BIOMASA:
Translation - English THE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS OF BIOMASS:
Plant-derived biomass presents a complex structure composed fundamentally of three fractions: cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin.
Cellulose is the component present in highest quantity and constitutes the structural base of the vegetable cells. It is a polymer of high molecular weight formed by various glucose molecules joined by ß-glycosidic linkages. These linkages form very stable linear chains which are resistant to chemical attack.
In contrast to cellulose, hemicellulose is composed of different sugars forming shorter, branched chains. These sugars can be divided into different groups such as 5-carbon sugars (xylose, arabinose), 6-carbon sugars (glucose, mannose, galactose), hexuronic acids (glucuronic acid, metylglucuronic and galacturonic) and deoxyhexoses (ramnose and fucose). The principal chain of a polyose can consist of only one unit (homopolymer), such as xilanes or of two or more units (heteropolymer) such as glucomanes.
The branched nature of hemicellulose renders it amorphous and easier to hydrolyze than cellulose.
The content of hemicellulose differs greatly in both quantity and variety depending on the plant species. In the case of woods, a larger quantity of mannose and galactose can be observed in coniferous plants, while xylose and acetyl groups are more abundant in leafy plants.

Source text - English The present manual establishes a method for correct installation of optical fibres with respect to their layout/guiding in the cabinet.
The correct guiding of optical fibres will allow an optimization of time and space, as well as efficient fibre identification.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CABINET
Cabinet 47U 1200 x 800 ODF is capable of supporting a maximum of 1152 optical fibres, with 288 fibres for fusion and the remaining 864 for patching.
The cabinet has the capacity for a maximum of 8 3U whole chassis. Chassis nº 1 to 4 are placed at the top of the cabinet. Chassis nº 5 to 8 are placed at the bottom of the cabinet.
Chassis nº.1 to 6 receives the fibres from the yellow duct system - LIGHTPATHS.
Chassis nº.7 to 8 establish the fusion of lower fibres.
Each chassis contains a maximum of 144 fibres, sub-divided into 12 modules of 12 fibres each.
Fibres of modules nº 1 to 6 are guided into the left side of the cabinet.
Fibres of modules nº 7 to 12 are guided into the right side of the cabinet.
Each back cable organizer with or without identification has a capacity of 36 fibres.
Fibres must be attached to the velcro strips placed at the front and to the side pannels along the cabinet.
