Bio
Hello! I'm Keli de Oliveira, translator, proofreader, and post-editor from English into Portuguese (Brazilian) (and eventually from Portuguese into English).
Technical translator (documents with which I've worked: manuals, reports, agreements, Apostilles (Convention de la Haye), academic records, birth certificates, Brazilian income taxes, and so on; I've had experience with religious, gastronomic, and well-being translations as well);
Also, I have interests in literary translation, academic translation, humanities, and ecology fields;
More than 270,000 words translated;
Academic Background: undergraduate degree in Modern Languages (UNESP/Assis); graduate specialization in Translation into English (Estácio de Sá University) - in progress;
Affiliations: ABRATES (Brazilian Association of Translators and Interpreters) and CIOL (Chartered Institute of Linguists).
I see myself as a “professional-student of language”, because, in addition to personal pleasure in the art of study, I also know and appreciate the importance of this skill in the translator's career. I am committed to CPD (Continuing Professional Development), I comply with my deadlines and responsibilities, and I am always open to dialogue in order to value constructive and efficient communications.
