Bio
Hello!

I am a Dutch guy with a fascination for Asia. After high school I decided to study Japanese Language and Culture at Leiden University in the Netherlands. I chose this University because it's famous for its language studies. I also spent a year in Japan studying the language full-time.

I can safely say that I am now one of the few Dutch people on this earth with advanced knowledge of Japanese. I love reading and speaking it, which makes my job quite enjoyable. I love the people and the culture, which I think is very important. You can't translate a language that is as radically different as Japanese without understanding the culture.

I also write and speak English at a near-native level. I have been speaking English from a very early age, because I have a bunch of relatives from Australia. I have also worked in foreign companies where English is the main language, and have often been requested to proofread or produce work in English.

On top of that I am currently studying Korean. I have lived and studied the language in Korea for over a year and I am already quite fluent at speaking, but I don't feel that I have quite reached the professional level that I've reached with English and Japanese.

Thank you reading all the way to the end :)
