Linguists for Tender Translation and Interpretation Services

Hello,

We are seeking experienced and qualified linguists for tender translation and interpretation services. Candidates must meet the following criteria:

Qualifications:

Language Proficiency:

Native speaker of the relevant foreign language with a demonstrable command of spoken and written English.
Minimum English proficiency equivalent to:
QCF Level 3
CEFR B2
A Level
IELTS 5-6
Cambridge First Certificate in English (minimum Grade C, no less than borderline in each skill)
Equivalent proficiency in the foreign language if a native English speaker.
Certifications:

Diploma in Community Interpreting, or
IoLET Certificate in Bilingual Skills, or
Equivalent qualification accepted by the Contracting Authorities.
Experience:

Documented evidence of successful public service language work in the United Kingdom.
For Interpreting and Translation Professionals:

Required Certifications:

DPSI (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting), or
DPI (Diploma in Police Interpreting), or
Equivalent interpreting/translation qualification at QCF Level 6.
Experience:

Minimum of 400 hours of documented public service interpreting/translation experience in the United Kingdom, or
Equivalent experience accepted by the Contracting Authorities.
Additional Requirements:

Documented evidence of language-specific training and/or continuing professional development (CPD) in the last 12 months.
Registration at Full Status with NRPSI is deemed to conform to all requirements of this band.
