Translation - English The accordion with stradella bass is branded Giuliette from 1942 and played in shifts to keep reality at an arm’s length distance. To become whale water the whale oil must run between fingers, behind the key’s tone chamber, past the tuning reeds, in to the bellow and out through the grille until the major chords have separated polyps from polymers and the colours of the fish are more than you can pronounce in one breath. Just then, the hooks come and expose the poem. They carve the text, break the spell, do you understand? That the accordion is written in ink, but the hooks cut out of iron. That words and action are two different things.

Bio
I was born in Sweden but have grown up moving between various, mostly English speaking countries. Today I permanently reside in the UK. Before coming here I attended IT and Communication studies in Stockholm. I later graduated with a BA. in Literature and language from Lunds University, Sweden.
For me translating is not just a matter of transforming the language of a text; it means being able to convey everything in the original without compromising on fluency and readability. It is a matter of more than being proficient in two languages. Many differences between two languages can be understood only through experience and knowledge of the cultures associated with the languages. With my background and a constant ambition to stay on top of what is happening in English speaking countries, I have a marked advantage in my work as a translator.
