I am currently based in Bedford, UK, yet have lived in Italy for a total of 6 years. Having moved there at the age of 7, I frequented Elementary School for 5 years and continued my studies in the UK where in 1997 I obtained a BA (Hons) degree in European Business Studies with Italian at the University of Leicester. As part of the course I completed a full year Erasmus Programme at the University of Florence in the faculty of Economics and Commerce. I specialised int he following subjects:

- Marketing
- Human Resource Management
- Information Resource Management
- Business Policy
- Economics of Tourism

Since the age of 18 and whilst at university I worked for a UK based Italian Travel Agency and this, coupled with having studied Economics of Tourism, has given me a sound knowledge of the Travel & Tourism Industry.

Since Graduating I have worked on a short-term contract for the Italian COnsulate in Bedford and subsequently for a telecommunications company specialising in outsourced telemarketing/sales/customer service activities on behalf of major international companies. I have worked on the following contracts in the capacity of bilingual telephone agent, bilingual coach and Operations Manager:One2One, Baan, Hewlett Packard, BIS, Virgin Energy, Worldcom, Unilever and Slim Fast Foods.
For each contract I attended an intensive product training, thus gaining very good knowledge int he following industrial sectors:

- Telecommunications (mobile phones/ISP's)
- IT
- utilities
- Diet and Nutrition/Food

I have completed a number of translating assignments for corporate members of Florence University and on a private basis. For the past 6 months I have been working in conjunction with a UK based Real Estate Agency, translating brochures, leaflets and correspondence relating to residential complexes and resorts in Italy and the South of France.

Most of my work has been carried out in my spare time, although I am now in a position to translate on a full-time basis receiving documents via Email, Post, or Fax.
