Source text - English 1. Simple pendulum:
A simple pendulum consists of a heavy bob suspended from a string of negligible mass. In gravitational field, the simple pendulum is acted upon by the gravitational force and tension in the string. When the bob is given angular displacement θ and released, it starts oscillating in a plane with a definite period under the effect of the gravitational force. Physical quantities - tension, tangential force, velocity change with angular displacement, but the gravitational force does not. At the extremities, like speed, the kinetic energy of the bob becomes zero and at the centre, it becomes maximum. The reverse is true for the potential energy. At any instant, the total energy remains constant and hence, like other physical processes, simple pendulum also follows the law of conservation of energy.
2. Electric bell:
Initially, the contact arm is in touch with the contact screw. When the circuit is switched on, an electric current passes through the coils and they behave as electromagnets producing a magnetic field around them. This magnetic field attracts the contact arm and the hammer strikes the gong. Now, since the contact arm is no more in contact with the contact screw, the circuit breaks and the coils lose their magnetism. The contact arm is restored by the springy metal strip and the circuit is completed. Again, the electromagnets attract the contact arm and the hammer strikes the gong. Repetition of this process keeps the electric bell ringing.
3. Magnetic Field due to a Straight Wire Carrying Current
When an electric current passes through a conductor, a magnetic field is produced around it. In case of a straight wire, this magnetic field can be visualized as concentric circular magnetic field lines. The magnitude of this magnetic field at a point is proportional to the current passing through the conductor and inversely proportional to the distance of that point from wire. Knowing the direction of current, the direction of magnetic field can be determined using right hand thumb rule.

Chemical bonds are formed when atoms combine to attain stability.
The bond between a metal and a non-metal is an ionic bond, where the metal loses a fixed number of electrons and the non-metal accepts these electrons.
The bond between any two non-metals is a covalent bond, where the sharing of electrons takes place between the two atoms of these non-metals.
2. Electronic Configuration:
The distribution of electrons in various orbits (shells) and orbitals (subshells) around the nucleus of an atom is known as its electronic configuration.
Protons are positively charged particles present in the nucleus of an atom.
Neutrons are electrically neutral particles, also found in the nucleus of an atom.
Electrons are negatively charged particles. They revolve around the nucleus in various orbits.
The number of protons present in the nucleus decides the atomic number of an element.
The total number of protons and neutrons present in the nucleus gives the atomic mass number of the element.
According to Neil's Bohr, the max. no. of electrons that can be filled in a given orbit is given by 2n2, n = no. of orbits (Energy levels).
However, after 8 electrons are filled in the 3rd orbit, the octet of an element gets satisfied and the next electron, instead of entering the 3rd orbit goes into the 4th orbit.
Position of an element in the periodic table is based on the electronic configuration of that element.
No. of orbits gives the period and No. of valence electrons gives the group to which the element belongs.
3. Primitive Unit Cell:
In a 3 dimensional space, the arrangement of ions, atoms or molecules in a crystalline solid is called a ‘crystal lattice’ or a ‘space lattice’.

Source text - Polish Z opublikowanego przez Polskie Badania Internetu raportu wynika, że zakupy grupowe zyskują w Polsce coraz więcej zwolenników. W listopadzie 2010 roku witryny z tego rodzaju specjalnymi ofertami odwiedziło już 3,2 mln osób. Zdecydowanym liderem pozostaje Groupon.
Zakupy grupowe szybko zyskują na popularności wśród polskich internautów. Po pół roku od powstania CityDeal.pl (obecnie Groupon.pl) i Gruper.pl łączny zasięg wszystkich serwisów zakupów grupowych sięga już 18%, a łączna liczba ich użytkowników 3,2 mln. Groupon i Gruper to także zdecydowani liderzy – z ich witryn korzysta odpowiednio 2,6 mln i 785 tys. internautów. Tam też odwiedzający najchętniej kupują zniżkowe bony.
Oferta serwisów grupowych jest skierowana przede wszystkim do mieszkańców dużych i średnich miast. Na przykład Gruper.pl oferuje zniżki w ponad pięćdziesięciu, a Groupon.pl w ponad dwudziestu miastach. Okazuje się jednak, że 30% odwiedzających serwisy to mieszkańcy wsi. Wynika to z faktu, że większość serwisów stara się także oferować bony do zrealizowania na terenie całej Polski. Najczęściej dotyczą one ofert sklepów internetowych (bon zniżkowy) lub pobytów w hotelach w atrakcyjnej górskiej czy nadmorskiej miejscowości.
Zdaniem respondentów najważniejszym czynnikiem decydującym o atrakcyjności oferty jest kwota lub procent udzielonej zniżki. Ważne także, aby punkt, w którym można zrealizować kupioną usługę, znajdował się w dogodnej lokalizacji. Klienci nie lubią tracić czasu na dojazdy. Typ oferty (np. restauracja czy spa) ma mniejsze znaczenie.

The group shopping gains popularity very quickly among Polish internet users. Half a year after birth of CityDeal.pl (known as Groupon.pl these days) and Grouper.pl the joint reach of all the group shopping websites approaches 18%, and the joint number of users 3.2mln. Groupon and Grouper are also unquestioned leaders: their websites have 2.6mln and 785,000 users respectively. The users purchase discount vouchers on these websites most eagerly as well.
Offer of group shopping companies is dedicated to big and middle-sized cities inhabitants first of all. In an example, Gruper.pl offers discounts in over fifty, and Groupon.pl in over twenty cities. However, it turns out that 30% of visitors are inhabitants of rural areas. This results from a fact that most companies offer also vouchers applicable anywhere on the Polish territory, which most often concerns vouchers for online stores or hotels in beauty spots, mountainous or seaside.
In the opinion of respondents, the most important factor in the offer attractiveness assessment is the amount or percentage of discounted money. The convenient localization of the purchased service is also taken into account, since the customers are negative towards time waste. Sort of the offer (i.e. restaurant or spa) is of a minor significance.
The data in the report originate from Megapanel PBI/Gemius (IV – XI 2010) survey and a poll performed by PBI in December 2010 on the sample of 502 internet users, aged 18-54 (Omnibus Online IMAS International). The report contains full methodological information.

On the basis of information gathered with the Head Office, there are negotiations undertaken with process/Department representatives. These activities aim at verifying the extent to which processes/Departments refer to operational activities.
In terms of product realization processes, it is necessary to follow an appropriate internal path Customer-Supplier, input data and output data, while verifying the way in which company departments contribute to management of given processes.
During the verification phase, there shall be consistency and efficacy of performed activities confirmed, regarding availibility of the anticipated documentation, process phases, results of single activities, performance of anticipated monitorings and quality records.

5.2.2.1 Methods for materials protection during processing must be defined in the cycle of processing by Technology Department, and described clearly in cycle sheets in the event special protections are anticipated, regarding the material, geometry, dimensions and methods for material application.
5.2.2.2 In case the surface of the product is smooth and there is no necessity for engagement of special protections or containers Production Area ensures appropriate displacement of details and applies standard protection in order to protect crucial areas, wooden or made of plastic, for parts of huge dimensions, platforms made of plastic may be used. The material shall be anchored on the platforms if necessary, and distributed in appropriate manner in order to prevent it from accidental hits or fall during transportation.
5.2.2.3 Aiming at prevention from corrosion, Quality and Labs releases instructions specifying products to be used and methods for application.
5.2.2.4 Calling the above-mentioned instructions on cycles and processing sheets is a responsibility of Technology Department.
In the event inconsistencies appear, in particular by processing of first batches of new P/Ns, Production Area transfers the call to Quality and Labs and Technology Department in order to uptake activities aiming at application of protective operations or rationalization of existing paragraphs to protective norms or processing cycles.
5.2.2.5 After finished processing, Laboratory releases norms referring to protection during storage, concerning parts for which special protective activities have not been anticipated. The norms shall be called on cycles and operational sheets, which is a responsibility of Technology Department.
5.2.2.6 Parts to have inaccessible hollows after processing, must be appropriately protected in the areas of orifices, hollows and canals, with a use of suitable means, during processing phase and production of shavings, abrasive or silicon powder, metal filings or so.
