Swedish term
Orderläggning
Swedish to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
From a company guideline document.
Seems like a simple term but the way it is used seems to suggest something other than simply placing an order and more like recording (or having the order placed by the company's procurement department).
E.g.

Order-logging; logging as an order
Transliterates arguably well into ENG, though the 'London-student export-clerk' in me tells me to consider - warehouse - order requisitioning and non-US court-listed > docketing as an order.
Example sentence:
Hello, I would like some ideas and opinions on the best way of logging customer orders.

Thanks. Actually your idea of 'ordering' had been my first thought, until I noticed the different contexts of (negative) use. Otherwise, I don't think a formal vs. informal distinction helps in any way.

Discussion
is the company itself a financial one?
If so, it may be that they place orders as per
https://www.avanza.se/kundservice.html/466/hur-fungerar-avan...
and they are simply telling staff that certain orders must not be itemized in this way, so they probably have two order books.
But I admit that the whole situation does not make much sense as you could not book a conference or seminar without placing an order with the conference organiser.
So I suspect that we may still not have worked out what the writer really means in his (unclear) text.
Also perhaps one example sentence worth mentioning is this:
This makes me think it must be Adrian's suggestion of 'order logging'. Assuming that utförandet refers her to the actual placement of the order then I don't see what else could be left to do three days later, other than to make a record of the order.
