Spanish term
ingeniero mecánico electricista and ingeniero mecá
Spanish to English
Tech/Engineering
I have a Mexican transcript and diploma for the same person.
The diploma says "ingeniero mecánico electricista" and the transcript says "ingeniero mecánico electricista mecánica."
Does the second one look like a typographical error?
Is this an electrical/mechanical engineer?
Many, many thanks!

Electrical & Mechanical Engineer (Mexican degree)
This is how the degree is awarded by most Mexican universities. Though some other Latin American universities offer similar degrees, stick to this description, since it is the most accurate one for Mexican professionals.
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "All the answers were good, as usual. I picked this one because the answerer seems to have specific knowledge of Mexico, which is very reassuring.
Thanks."

Electrical and Mechanical Engineer
I think you are right. It has to be Electrical and Mechanical Engineer (although they mention the mechanical part first) and that the transcript has a mistake. I'm sure that pretty soon you will receive help from the pros, who will know more about Mexican diplomas and about engineering. Arent' they wonderful? I am so grateful for ProZ!

MECHANIC CUM ELECTRICIAN DIPLOMA
IN SOME COUNTRIES THEY OFFER COURSES OF MECHANIC AND ELECTRICIAN TOGETHER. MOSTLY IN AUTOMOBILE. IF IT REFERS TO AUTOMOILE FIELD THEN I COULD BE RIGHT.
I AM AN ENGINEER BY PROFESSION.
