Spanish term
suscriptor - abonado
Spanish to English
Tech/Engineering
wireless technology
My take:
The gateway adds HTTP headers with a unique subscriber number for each user so that content providers can follow the path although anonymously since this subscriber number has nothing that will link it to the subscriber number (telephone number) of the user.
Are these two words synonymous? If yes, then the sentence above could sound illogical since clearly two concepts are being referred to:
número de suscriptor
número de abonado
Both "subscriber number"?

Hi again. Just found this: "Telstra MobileNet - WAP - Privacy - So that you can take advantage of many of the benefits of your MobileNet WAP service such as banking and favourites, a unique subscriber number is allocated to all your WAP activities and is forwarded to content providers when you access their content...This subscriber number is not the same as your phone number and does not identify you - but you should understand that if you provide personal information to a content provider, it may be possible for the content provider to relate the personal information provided to the subscriber number". You'll find a few more instances under ref 2.
Good luck :-)Paul
