Peru // drug trafficking
In an anthropological study that I am editing, one of the deputies of a local drug *patron* has this pseudonym.
The question that I have is how best to understand the *meaning* of such a pseudonym within a Peruvian context. I know that in Mexico, the term is used to refer to the female genetalia. I don't think that the term has this meaning in Peru. I spent some time in Peru some years ago and I thought that the word had the slang meaning of "cutey pie", "handsome", or similar, referring to a male (although I recognize that I may simply be remembering wrong).
Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
Thank you!

gorgeous
You may also say: cute, handsome, etc. But in this context, I'd use "gorgeous."
You remember well; I dated a Peruvian girl for a long time, and that is exactly the meaning.
Good luck!

By the way (at first glance, I hadn't noticed what you wrote about the meaning in Mexico), the slang Mexican term for the female genitalia sounds similar tu but it's not bizcocho. It starts with the letter "p."

Thanks to you, Robert, and good luck with the rest of the work.
Interesting spelling variant for "cutie!" I didn't know it.
Best regards!

Comment: "Thank you, Ricardo. You edged out Luis on time, so you get the points. I appreciate both of your responses.
I am aware that the common meaning of the term is "cake/pastry" but, as I made clear in my query, I was looking for a specific slang meaning in a particular context."

That's actually the same in Mexico
That's actually the same in Mexico, I don't think I have ever hear this term used to refer to the female genetalia. I better be carful when I use it know.

: Yes, Biscocho is like a danish or similar, as opposed to a pie or cake. If necessary to translate to a guy's name, just might be "Cookie".

I agree with you, it has a similar meaning in Colombia, particularly in the province.
