En el año 1976, TECNARESA proyecta un nuevo modelo de yate a motor de 16 metros de eslora, denominado ARESA 16 M, con los últimos avances del diseño náutico, iniciando la construcción ASTILLEROS REUNIDOS, S.A. Paralelamente al desarrollo del referido proyecto, se emplea por primera vez la fibra de vidrio y la resina de poliéster como materiales de construcción de embarcaciones. Este nuevo modelo, que se presenta públicamente en el SALON NAUTICO DE BARCELONA de 1977, siendo el mayor barco construido en PFVR, hasta aquel momento, desarrollado a base de una *** carena doble diédrica ***** consiguiendo así una mejor efectividad, tanto en sustentación como en velocidad, llegando a construirse, más de cincuenta unidades, en diferentes evoluciones del proyecto original.

ARESA, continuing its period of expansion, extended its port concession in 1976 by 2.000 m2. 1200 m2. were transformed into bays for construction, workshops and warehouses, equipped with bridge cranes and modern machinery. This same year saw the planning and start of construction of a craft 16 metres in length with a fibreglass hull, presented at the 1977 Boat Show. This hull, which was the largest constructed in Spain in FGRP, was developed on the basis of a **** double dihedric hull ******** bottom for greater effectivity, both supportwise and speedwise. It is at present on the marketing line, 16 units having so far been constructed, and 30% of production is planned for export.
