El Bachillerato se estudia durante dos cursos, normalmente a continuación de la ESO.
Hay tres modalidades distintas de Bachillerato: ARTES (dos vías), CIENCIAS Y TECNOLOGÍA y HUMANIDADES Y CIENCIAS SOCIALES.

I firmly stand behind Emma's description of "bachillerato" in Spain. It is a more enriched program than a high school diploma in the US, but it is never considered to be a "college" or university equivalent. A more neutral option between Baccalaurate and high school diploma could be "secondary school completion certificate", which is also widely used. Bacchilerato is the equivalent of 'A' levels in the UK or High school in the US (I think).
I think that Baccalaureate is the closest equivalent, because you don't want to imply that the student as 'A' levels as such.

In Spain 16-18 yr olds chose the "branch" they want to study which can be the Arts / Health Sciences or /Science and there are about 8 subjects within each branch.
It is a 2-yr course and students usually then go on to university.

or High School Diploma with/for a specialization in health sciences. I think Emma's would sound better in the UK. This might make more sense to an American reader.

This would be the equivalent in the UK: see links below.

The names of streets don't usually get changed in translation so: Calle José Paredes (Murcia) Spain
would be fine.

agree Muriel Vasconcellos (X) : In this case, "bachillerato" is referring to the Bachelor's degree because the baccalaureate doesn't offer specialization at this level. The baccalaureate is general education.

Are there circumstances in which it would be used to mean a batchelor's degree? This definition is cited by Word Reference.com, from the Oxford Spanish dictionary (2005), along with high school diploma (US).
