Los orientales tienen los ojos rasgados.
Conozco el termo "slant-eyed". Me gustaría saber si puedo usarlo en ese contexto también.

No lo veo ni más ni menos peyorativo que "ojos rasgados".

: También "slanting eyes", y no entiendo por qué "peyorativo" así aparece en los libros británicos de mis alumnos :-)

: The reason any variant of slant with eyes is considered pejorative dates back to anti-Japanese propaganda during World War II, when "slanty-eyed" was an adjective commonly used in dehumanizing or demonizing context.

Thank-you very much for the information. Actually, I don't like the term "rasgados" myself, so I consider "slanted" a good translation for it. There are nicer ways to say it in Spanish.

Comment: "Your examples were very helpful, Sol. By the way, all answers and comments were helpful and Ruth's information about the II World War was fantastic. My sentence was indeed a very neutral one, without any particular context. Thanks everybody!"

almond-shaped eyes
this is the more politically correct way of saying it. Good luck.

: A little after-the-fact, but I find myself translating the same term and feel this is the best suggestion. Both of the others sound somewhat offensive in English.

Tom, Ruth and Ronald are correct regarding the use of the term. In the first Google hit I found, it was used pejoratively in all the instances. Carolina simply asked if she could used the expression in her context, and her context is a totally neutral sentence. Obviously, I should have provided the observation: \"Yes, but...\".
Sol offers some examples where it is not used pejoratively
