This is the most common term in the US.

BTW: A machine shop is not the same at all, it is a place where parts are made/modified/ tooled. For example, the repair shop might send an engine block to a machine shop to have it bored out. A car shop may have some machine shop facilities, but a machine shop is much more specialized.
