Abbreviation 'VAT'
Spanish to English

This abbreviation appears in isolation under the heading 'Evolución' in a set of notes relating to a patient who is being assessed for admission following a road traffic accident. Does it refer to a form of 'valoración', by any chance, please? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Comment: "One of the problems with so many Spanish (and German or French) texts is the random use of Spanish and English abbreviations. Whilst these abbreviations have been noted, I am not totally confident that they fit the context here, where the writer has just described procedures carried out in the A+E Department. It is possible that it refers to a visual apperception test, since there was a minor head injury. I am also inclined to agree that it is an English-language abbreviation, since there are several such abbreviations in the text.
One thought that did cross my mind was that it might refer to 'vacunación antitetánica', even though this was a closed injury. Many thanks for all your trouble. Warm wishes for a pleasant weekend. "
