Spanish term

retirar o desechar del servicio

Muchas gracias.

decomission/retire from service

Loks like an industrial machine, not a home appliance. For large machines the term is de-commissioning, because it is a procedure for many tasks, such as de-energization, un wiring, etc.
If it were a home appliance "trashing" or "jonking" would do.

retirar = removal, desechar del servicio= dispose/disposal

Acabo de ver el manual de mi lavadora y dice: before you store or dispose of the washer or if a company will remove it from your home...remove the door....etc. Buena suerte.
Example sentence:

Before removal or disposal of the appliance the door must be removed.
