Hi there,
In a recipe for Sicilian cannoli, I have the instruction, "Sumergir los cannoli en aceite a 175 °C, con el punto de soldadura hacia abajo".
I have the start of the phrase, "Dip the cannoli in oil at 175°C", but am unsure of the second part. Could it be 'welding downwards/holding them downwards'? It seems like a bizarre instruction to me!
Many thanks in advance!

Heat (the) oil to 175 °C and deep fry the cannoli with the sealed-side facing down
This is done to avoid them opening up.
Set the tube in a fryer basket with the sealed-side facing down, or set aside to fry in a pot.

sink the cannoli in 175°C oil with the apex(one of the extremes/end) downwards
Los ¨canoli¨por tradición son un cucurucho o cono, pero también los hacen en forma de tubo o ¨taco¨.
El ¨punto de soldadura¨ se refiere se refiere a uno de los extremos del tubo o al ápice del cono.
Luego entonces lo diría en inglés: sink/submerge the cannoli in 175°C oil with the apex (one of the extremes/ends) downwards.
