Spanish to English Other Cooking / Culinary On menu in Spain
On a menu of a seaside restaurant in Spain. I particularly have a problem with pulgas... I get this itching... to know what it means...

Scratching I have seeen 'pulga' used to describe a small filled baguette type of thing. On the counter next to the 'montaditos'

Pincho = tapa = aperitivo in Spanish usage, but remember, this is not what is sold as a tapa in "Tapas Bars" in the UK, where they give you what we would call a rather meagre (but pricey) ración in Castilla y León.

Pulga or pulguita

Wish there was a snappier way of saying this.

agree neilmac : English uses "tapa/s" now... I imagine fewer folk have heard "pinchos".

Yes, and it wd confuse the issue, despite the fact that I wd rarely use the word tapa here in C y L! Thanks Neil
