a variety of wild mushrooms

Yes. Mushrooms are champiñón, but all the rest are normally lumped together as "wild mushrooms" = setas.
So that we don't lose any impact, I've offered the above merged but tasty sounding rendition.
Of course, setas can actually be cultivated, but I'm ignoring that fact!

Other sites pointing out that while they are not one and the same thing (one is part of the other), for our purposes they are:

agree Silvia Brandon-Pérez : Con cebolla y un poco de vino... y un diente de ajo... deliciosos, se les llame como se les llama... aunque no necesariamente incluiría el 'wild.'

Of course - having said " a variety" then we don't need wild. Thank you!

Different types of wild mushrooms

Or:
Mixed wild musrooms
(depending on how you translate the rest of the entry)

Although the standard definition for hongo with respect to food is edible fungus, I just wouldn't put that on a menu. ;->

I have often seen seta as wild mushrooms vs. just mushroom for champiñon (for food, of course, not a biology translation and the technical species names areused).

agree Noni Gilbert Riley : Great minds Cinnamon! We were obviously writing "in stereo".
