Tapichel doesn’t appear to be a common word and mostly seems to come up in documents from Costa Rica. Here is one of the very few references:
viga (de base, corona, tapichel): beam, usually concrete or steel
tapichel: gable wall

However, I haven’t found it in any of my specialized building, construction or architecture dictionaries to confirm that, and it doesn't even come up in the DRAE.
The Penguin Building Dictionary defines “gable wall” as "a wall crowned by a gable,” and “gable” is defined (in part) as “the triangular part of the end wall of a building with a pitched roof… A gable may be of any material—masonry, cladding such as weatherboards, hung tiling, etc.”
As far as I know, “tablilla” is a small board or plank (translations given by Simon and Schuster’s Dictionary and Diccionario Visual de Architectura).
Therefore, if the English translation of tapichel given above is correct, you would have a gable wall made of boards.
