Spanish term

Proyecto / proyecto de detalle

Spanish to English Other Construction / Civil Engineering
This is talking about different types of contracts. This section is on turn-key contracts. Right now I am using plan or design, but I think there may be a better, more speciifc term. It is either accompanying documentation for the contract or an appendix of it, I’m leaning towards the former. TIA!

The original:

My rough draft:
This type of contract requires at least a good basic plan. This will be helpful in the creation of the turn-key bid, which requires more time to prepare than a conventional bid, since it involves the creation of a detailed mini-plan to assess the different elements with the greatest precision possible.

Discussion

S Ben Price (asker) Oct 13, 2011:
I don't think so, I believe they are two variations of the same thing. And the "mini-" part is sort of irrelevant for the general definition of the term.
Barbara Carrara Oct 13, 2011:
Shouldn't this be posted as 'mini-proyecto de detaille'?
As a two-term question, you risk of having this squashed by the mods.

Outline plans/detailed plans (proyecto basico/de detalle).

This is what I always use.

I should add that detailed plans are more commonly referred to in Spanish as proyecto de ejecucion. But it's the same thing.
Peer comment(s):

agree Rodrigo Maharg Bravo : could possible use 'sketch plans' but it sounds pretty good

Outline/Detailed plans is the standard term for this, at least in the UK. Thanks Rod.
