Spanish term

al abrir

Spanish to English Art/Literary Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
En un guión:

"ESCENA # XX
INT. DÍA. BURDEL DE LA SRA. XXX

**AL ABRIR**, XXX ESTÁ PICANDO UNAS PAPAS. A SU LADO ESTÁ LA COCINERA TRAYENDO JENGIBRE. CERCA ACUCLILLADO EN UN RINCÓN, ESTÁ EL PELELE.
COCINERA: (CARIÑOSA A XXX)

Discussion

Yvonne Becker (asker) Nov 5, 2005:
Thanks Muriel. I think your first suggestion is not necessarily restricted to teh first scene of the movie.
Muriel Vasconcellos Nov 5, 2005:
Thanks for the clarification. You can also use "as the shot opens." See the examples I found below.
Yvonne Becker (asker) Nov 5, 2005:
Slo para aclarar que no se trata de la primera escena del guin.

neutral Muriel Vasconcellos : This would be good for the beginning of a theatrical act, but the asker pointed that this is just a segment of a scene, not even a whole scene.
