: Not only on the border... everywhere in Mexico. I suppose it became "rin" because no word finishes with "m" in spanish. Cheers... Henry: sí, en México se le dice a un coche: mi "patas de hule" (caucho). Chistoso. Saludos.

Gracias, Juan, y curiosamente en Chile al "rin" se le dice "llanta" y a la llanta "neumático", aunque en México he oído decir "le robaron las patas a un carro", o sea los rines con todo y llantas,
