Power Curve and Air Density
The Power curve of a wind turbine is an important parameter, describing the relation between the wind speed on site and the respective electrical energy output.
During the calculation of the energy yield, the power curves, given for the standard conditions of air density = 1.225 kg/m3 are adapted to the air density of each individual turbine location at hub height, with the transformed power curves for the average air density.
