in lipsa oricarui context, aceasta este varianta pentru care as opta

in cazul unui divort, dupa cum inteleg ca este cazul, se spune "to file for a divorce"

the petition form
in dreptul englez asa se spune si este o forma standard; sotul care cere divortul se numeste 'petitioner' iar celalalt sot este 'respondent'. sunt sigura de raspuns pt ca am studiat dreptul familiei

: petition is used in Eng. & Wales for family = divorce as here, and insolvency matters. In other civil suits, it's a plaint form and fee.

Judical summons / court summons
A judicial summons is addressed to a defendant in a legal proceeding. Typically, the summons will announce to the person to whom it is directed that a legal proceeding has been started against that person, and that a file has been started in the court records. The summons announces a date by which the defendant(s) must either appear in court, or respond in writing to the court or the opposing party or parties

statement of claim
The document which sets out the plaintiff's allegations of fact and thus, engages the judicial process by seeking trial.
A statement of claim is the first - or one of the first - steps in engaging the justice system to resolve a dispute by trial.
A written statement of the initiating litigant, called a plaintiff, in which he/she must state their case: the facts on which they intend to rely upon and the relief they seek, to the defendant and for the public record, for which they seek a civil trial and judicial determination.
