True, we can't be sure from the 2 sentences provided by the Asker that this is a Divorce Agreement or for that matter a Decree, but it's likely.....it sounds like one and believe me I know first-hand what these things read like....the first time I ever saw this word "varão" in my life was exactly when I was reading my own Separation Agreement (homologado em Juízo) and that's how I learned this word many years ago and then after I took up translations as a profession, obviously this term came up in legal texts...but it's not such an obvious term as one may think just because it's there in the dictionary, it's not a common word at all....it's an archaic word and I've only seen it used in legalese.

Se incluísse os filhos, como disse, a frase em português teria "varão" e "varoa" para os sexos masculino e feminino respectivamente.
De qualquer forma, só com este pedacinho de texto também não posso afirmar que se trata exactamente do marido e pela sugestão dada concordo com "male".
Um varão é um indivíduo do sexo masculino, como é sabido; homem que atingiu a idade adulta e, numa derivação por metonímia, um homem digno de respeito.
Que é do sexo masculino (ex.: filho varão).
