Shotblasting.

We have various methods of shotblasting, which we apply as appropriate to the job. Shotblasting is appropriate for blasting ferrous metals and we blast using fine steel grits and ball shot to give a clean uniform finish.

We have manual blastcleaning facilities with blastrooms 7.5m L x 3.5m W for large items and hand cabinets for smaller items.

We also have a range of automatic machines for high volume smaller components. The range includes:
Automatic 'Tumblast' rubber belt machine for small components
Automatic 'Centri blast' barrel blasting machine for larger batch blasting e.g. castings
In November 2000 we have added a second "Tumblast" machine suitable for smaller castings in order to increase our capacity.

All blastcleaning is to the industry standard, SA3 Swedish standards; this is where the prepared steel, when viewed without magnification, is free of all visible oil, grease, dirt, mill scale, rust and paint / coatings.This is the equivalent of UK standard BS4332 1st quality or USA standard SSPC-SP5 White metal.
All work can be carried out to customers' RA (roughness average) specification and maintained by digital measurement.
