Jeżeli dotyczy piosenek, to IMO pasuje do kontekstu:
A covers album from the woman who can rework a song and make it all her own. ...

adaptation
Przynajmniej wg ponizszej definicji:
Essentially an adaptation retains the basic concept
and content of the original work but its overall
appearance’ is altered. Adapting the work means
doing one of the following things to it:
• converting a literary work into a dramatic work - for
instance dramatising a novel
• converting a dramatic work into a literary work - for
instance writing a book from a screenplay
• translating a dramatic or literary work
• making a strip cartoon from a literary or dramatic
work
• arranging or transcribing a musical work
• translating a computer program (including putting it
into another language or code)
• adapted from Cavendish, JM and K Pool, 1993.

to jeszcze moze (re-)arrangement albo alteration na \"przeróbkę\", jak niżej:
The right to make a derivative work overlaps somewhat with the reproduction right. According to the Copyright Act, a derivative work is a work based upon one or more preexisting works, such as a translation, musical arrangement, dramatization, fictionalization, motion picture version, sound recording, art reproduction, abridgment, condensation, or any other form in which a work may be recast, transformed, or adapted.
A derivative work usually involves a type of transformation, such as the transformation of a novel into a motion picture. In the computer industry, a second version of a software program is generally considered a derivative work based upon the earlier version.
