Got it from a list of what I assume to be for operations regarding an airplane. I've never heard of a "puffle" which is all I can interpret from that katakana. Helically arranged puffle? Not registering. Help appreciated! :)

The number of search hits is never any proof of accuracy. In patents you cannot snip off a part of the original by ignoring it in the translation without sufficient justification and also without the consent of the original author. In the above case, you cannot assume that a helical baffle is itself a modified helical baffle.

There are countless patents granted regarding "modification" of "helical baffles". But there is only 1 hit that uses the term "modified helical baffle". I don't think it is as disastrous as you think.

Modified helical baffle

You cannot leave out "modified". If it is a patent related document, leaving out "modified" would be disastrous!

Good thing you said that before I submitted the file :P Another one of my questions turned out to be a case of the people who made the file likely screwing up the Kanji. I'm assuming the パ was meant to be a バ here too. Wish people would check things better! Anyway, thanks!
