This "effetto creta" appears in a list of fashion items, and is repeatedly used to describe a type of leather used for biker jackets, bags, boots, etc.

Why do they never give you any pictures!!

It could be "cracked leather" i.e. like clay when it's dry.
Or it could be "buttery soft leather" like clay when it's soggy.

Or it could be something else entirely.
