The heading "LV regional wall motion" is what appears in our printed reports for cardiac CAT scans, MRI's, and echocardiograms. "LV regional wall motion" is the section of the report that provides info on LV akinesia, dyskinesia, etc.

To perform a head-to-head comparison between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and gated single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) for the evaluation of left ventricular (LV) function (LV ejection fraction [LVEF], LV volumes, and **regional wall motion**) in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy, we studied 22 patients with chronic coronary artery disease and LV dysfunction. Cine NMR movie loops were acquired in two long-axis planes: 1) right anterior oblique plane, parallel to the septum, and 2) four chamber orthogonal plane, perpendicular to the septum (this view is comparable to the angiographic left anterior oblique view).
