Italian term

ITA

Italian to English Medical Medical (general) case reports - renal and cardiac insufficiency
In a case report listing a patient's problems:
"FRCV: tabagismo (60p/y), diabete mellito tipo 2 ID, ipercolesterolemia, ITA, IRC."

Can't find ITA or IRC (this last might be cardiac rhythm something-or-other).
Any suggestions? Many thanks

Discussion

Dr Sue Levy (X) Jan 4, 2007:
Would someone like to change the glossary entry so that it reads correctly: Italian term - IRC insufficienza renale cronica/English translation - CRF chronic renal failure
liz askew Jan 4, 2007:
For the record, it would be "arterial hypertension" if this is what you choose. I'd just put "High B P/Hypertension", as it could be either cardiac or pulmonary.
liz askew Jan 4, 2007:
Could "ITA" = High Blood Pressure, if "hypertension" starts with an "i" in Italian - ipertension arterial? (I don't do Italian, sorry).
Marie-Hélène Hayles Jan 4, 2007:
Susan, in future please post a separate question for each term - not only is this in the rules, but it will also help you when grading answers.
