not sure I would be tempred to see "records" as referring to the notary's archive, which could include al sorts of documents, whereas "raccolta" is a numbered list of all occurrences of a specific type of document

Collection of the Notary

the notary's own register of the deeds he/she has notarised
Peer comment(s):

neutral TechLawDC : The "register" or "registry" of a notary is, I believe, merely a list of the notarization transactions, but not the record of entire registered documents. See references in "Discussion".

Notary´s Protocol

or Archive

**The "Protocol" is defined as a registry maintained by a civil-law notary in which the acts of the civil-law notary are archived.**

Civil-law notaries are limited to areas of private law, that is, domestic law which regulates the relationships between individuals and in which the State is not directly concerned.[...] their role is limited to drafting, authenticating, and registering certain types of transactional or legal instruments. In some countries, such as the Netherlands, France or Italy, among others, they also retain and keep a minute copy of their instruments—in the form of memoranda—in notarial protocols, or archives.
