chamber of commerce business register file search
Alternatively, just "business register file search" or "company register file search".
Basically the Chamber of Commerce holds the documents filed by the company registrar. If you want to start a company you have to register the certificate of incorporation and then your annual reports and any major changes you make with the company registrar. The Chamber of Commerce has access to those files. A "visura" is going down to the Chamber of Commerce or to their website or going here
http://www.infocamere.it/distributori.htm
and asking to see the files on them. If you want to lend money to a company then the most important thing you want to see is the last financial report it filed and this is in those files, along with the certificate of incorporation and other corporate documents. It doesn't translate easily into a US or UK equivalent.
