Italian term
criccaggio

crazing
I bet you have seen what surfactants can do to polycarbonate plastic if you have had a blender or mixer with a plastic bowl for a while.
Crazing - Fine cracks which may extend in a network on or under the surface or through a layer of a plastic material.

Crazing A network of cracks or fissures, sometimes so small as to be invisible to the naked eye, running over the surface of, or through, hard rubber or plastic. Crazing is caused by chemical activity.

Example sentence:
Polycarbonate when attacked by unfriendly chemicals, such as solvents will start a chain reaction as for example as crazing all over, go dull and more.
The polycarbonate supplier suggested that the problem (crazing) was due to the use of aggressive surfactants combined with the high washing temperatures.
