Either of these phrases, and the abbreviation "FYI" (on the copy sent to the individual in question), would be perfectly fine.

FYI, The English abbreviation "cc:" has two roots: first, the abbreviation of "carbon copy," which dates from the time when typists actually produced multiple copies of a letter, using a manual or electric typewriter and sheets of carbon paper, and, second, the Latin plural formation of "copy," which consists simply of duplicating the first letter ("c"). (Another common example of this formation in English is "pp." ("pages").)
