Egy példán keresztül - az Áfa törvényből:
1. mell. II. rész 2. pont
"hagyományos gyógynövény drogok közvetlen lakossági fogyasztásra, kiskereskedelemben szokásos kiszerelésben - ex 1302" azt jelenti, hogy a 1302 vámtarifaszám alá besorol készítményekből az, amely megnevezésében (szövegében) egyezik a megnevezésként közöltekkel.
Mivel vélelmezem, hogy latinból ered az "ex", tudna segíteni valaki, hogy hol bukkanhatok a fenti értelmezés helyességének megerősítésére?

Még egy lehetőség a latin "explānāre", mleynek jelentése megmagyaráz, részletez. Az angol "explain" ebből származik.
ex = közül; -ból/ből
Valószínű, hogy a latin "ex" elöljárószó ez, amely jól ismert pl az "ex libris" ("XY könyveiből") kifejezésből. Tehát: "az adott kódszám (alá tartozók)ból".
