: Looked seems to me less than perfect for tzfiya. Had it said 'histakalt(a)', it would have been correct. 'Turning to someone' is good for pniya.

But you can\'t translate it as \"turn\" in English for this context. In practice, l\'fnot here means to approach, to talk to, to ask, or to contact [as given above by Suzan]. Turn is simply wrong.

: The idiomatic (not the dictionary) translation is 'but' or 'only'. You can use 'just', but then your word-order is incorrect. 'Turning to ...' is correct. Viewing is EXACTLY right for tzfiya, since the latter is formal register.

Eynat haY'qarah: The word "just" is indicated by "raq." Of course, "raq" usually means only, but in this context, which appears to be informal speech, "just" is better since it more colloquial in English, at least in US English. Sgd: Eliyahug
