German term

Gemeinschaftsstandorte

German to English Tech/Engineering Telecom(munications) trunked radio
Aus der Produktbeschreibung eines Single Channel Converters. Gibt es dafür einen feststehenden Englischen Begriff?

Um die BAKOM-Anforderungen für den Einsatz an **Gemeinschaftsstandorten** zu erfüllen, sind beim stationärem Einsatz zusätzliche HF-Kopplermodule notwendig.

I´ve searched the OFCOM site and its requirements but couldn´t come up with anything....

Thanks!!

I rather think it does - hence my added suggestions; fire brigade, police, ambulance, probably all have their own frequencies.

I am wondering if it simply means that there is more than one system in the same location....
Non-ProZ.com Mar 9, 2005:
Thanks David! These systems are used by police, fire department, rescue ect. This converter is for mobile and stationary use. Aparenty these ofcom requirements state that for stationary operation more of these coupler modules are needed. Unfortunately I am not quite clear about the meaning of "Gemeinschaftsstandort"

Communal (or community) location(s)

I did a large translation on this subject fairly recently, and I recall that "stationary" locations may be used for co-ordination points for emergencies. Is this what is meant here?

Perhaps joint (emergency service?) locations?
Joint control locations?
