I can't nail down a good translation for "Gestaltungselemente" in this context. TIA for your help.

Given your explanation, I reckon that "key elements" or "core elements" would be the best choice of wording here.

Comment: "I must say, I wouldn't normally expect "Gestaltungs-" to be associated with "key" or "core" (something like "Kern-" is generally used in German to mean that).
