Alison Kirkland Jul 19, 2011:
stacked board ceiling? From a German text:
Die paradoxe Brettstapeldecke, bei der einzelne Bretter ohne Leim stehend aneinandergenagelt werden, machte Anfang der 1990er-Jahre schlagartig evident, wie lange das konstruktive Potenzial des Brettschichtholzes (BSH) als Fläche übersehen worden war.
Therefore, main features vertical layers and no glue?

wooden ceiling construction/laminated beams

A Brettstapeldecke could also be translated as a board ceiling. My wood construction dictionary has Bretterbalkendecke and it is defined as "Deckenkonstruktion aus Balken, zwischen denen Bretter eingefalzt oder eingenutet sind, gelegentlich mit bemalter Unterschicht oder mit Deckleisten verziert."
Her's an online site description of wooden ceiling:
The wooden ceiling construction is predominately visible and connected to the roof construction as well as to that of outer walls. It consists of the primary binding beam and secondary cross roof beams. All elements are planed and have the rectangular section

glue laminated timber ceilings, glue-laminated beams

I am not sure about the "Decken" in your source text - if this is about the actual ceiling, then above is correct, if not I don't know, as glue laminated timber translates as Brettschichtholz.

Board stacking covers, glue-laminated or multi-ply beams

I think Decken here is more likely covers than ceilings.

agree ingot : A thin layer of expensive wood laid on many layers of inexpensive wood giving a "classy" look to cabinets etc.

layerboard,laminated beams

Cosmetic wood.
layerboard:the boards are made of inexpensive wood layers faced off with a
thin layer of a finer wood to give an
impression of quality without the cost.
laminated beams:beams of whatever cheap
wood with a thin covering of fine wood
to give a "classy" look.

laminated timber ceilings, laminated beams

These suggestions would cover glue-lamination (see http://www.timbersystems.com/GLU.HTM) and nail lamination (see http://www.anthonyforest.com/searchlaminatedbeams.htm). See also my note, above.
