The term comes up in a master thesis. This part is about research strategies when conducting interviews.
The context is: "Nach (...) ist es wichtig, Schlüssel- oder Eventualfragen in das Gespräch einfließen zu lassen."
I have only found the term online within a legal context and also within the context of interviews (which is mine, too).

: neither "key" (idiomatic) nor "possible" (imprecise) would work in this context, as the source expressions are both technical terms. Probably "filter questions" (or "stem questions") and "contingency questions."
