German term
Handlager
German to English
Marketing
Retail
Goods storage
Verbringen auf Fläche & Handlager
I have seen the other Kudos translation (area for small parts storage) but that doesn't seem to be the term I am looking for. I have found the following definition of the term in German, and it's the second meaning that I need the English term for.
Handlager
"Storage shelves" doesn't seem precise enough. I just wondered if anyone knows the correct term? I'd be grateful for any input.
Thanks in advance.

Not too sure, but I think this can apply in both cases
"A stock of low-cost, repetitively used, consumption type supplies, and repair parts ..."

Comment: "Many thanks for your input, Francis. I decided in the end to use 'stockroom shelves' based on my own experience as a student shop assistant plus the images that came up in Google. However, I think your suggestion is good - just perhaps not quite right for my context which was a clothing store (and which I should have mentioned in my question, I realise now)."
