what it means:
All the research point to the following:
it's a type of commercial property which includes the hotel and leisure sector as well as hospitals/clinics and residential care homes (for the elderly). See links below:
Betreiberimmobilien, also Hotel- und Freizeitobjekten, zu engagieren. ...
www.allianz-immobilien.de/html/ aktuelles/presse/text-20.htm
Kein Interesse besteht an: Betreiberimmobilien, wie zum Beispiel Seniorenwohnanlagen, Kinos, Freizeitimmobilien, Hotels ...
www.corpus.de/de/pdf/anforderungsprofil-II.pdf
I don't think the same concept exists in English (never heard of it in the UK anyway) and I'm struggling to find an English term for it.

To Anca,
The specific term the asker is struggling with is ‘Betreiberimmobilien’ which does not simply translate as \'real estate development\'. We all know that it concerns property development, but the big question we need to answer is WHAT SORT of development? According to my research, the German term is specifically used for property development in the health and leisure sectors, and that is what my reference snippets are supposed to illustrate. Your answer does not address the term in question at all, I’m afraid.

I guess I\'m not very good at explaining things. Sorry about that.
quote from the site above
it also has a link that takes you to hotels and buidings with suites for rent
they also call them boardinghouses on the same site using the english word
i would say hotels and apartment buildings
Real estate development is a more general term I admit that but I would still use it in this case specifying hotels and apartment buildings in brackets

or you can say
buidings containing rental units managed by an onsite manager
it describes the thing but it\'s also long and clumsy
so I would also keep it in brackets and go with the real estate thing
