What would be the English translation of "Condylaris" here? For "ausgezogener" I am thinking of "elongated", but appreciate if anyone has a better idea.

Condylaris - Kondylus There are several anatomical structures which carry the adjective condylaris in their names, like the Processus condylaris of the jaw bone or the Canalis condylaris of the occipital bone. The person dictating the radiology report may have had this form in the back of his/her mind. (I would probably just insert a comment for the client.)

Thanks so far; confused about grammar Thanks everyone so far for comments and suggestions. I guess I just don't understand the grammar on this one. If it means "elongated or enlarged condyle", which I think it does, why not just use German term "Kondyle" instead of genitive or adjective form (not sure what form "Condylaris" is. Also, the German text did state "ausgezogener Condylaris" with "r", proz took off the "r" from my heading.

Ich denke auch, dass eigentlich der Kondylus (oder die Kondylen) gemeint ist. "Ausziehung" hat mit Osteophyten zu tun; das wurde auch schon mehrfach in ProZ diskutiert, aber ich weiss immer noch keine überzeugende Übersetzung dafür.

Fehlt da vielleicht etwas? Condylaris (oder auch kondylaris) heißt normalerweise "den Kondylus, den Knochenteil des Gelenkes, betreffend". Ansonsten würde ich auf "ausgezogenen Kondylus" tippen. Und der heißt im Englischen "condyle".
