Ich habe herausgefunden, dass diese gegen Durchfall verschrieben werden (auch Elotrans) genannt. Aber wie heißt denn das engliche Äquivalent? Oder lässt man das einfach so stehen?

Not at all sure about this, but most of the hits for "Schwedentabletten" refer to "Salztabletten" and don't seem to be restricted to treating diarrhea.

ORS Oral Rehydration Salts
Es wird wohl eher in Beuteln benutzt, Tabletten habe ich nicht finden können. Allerdings gibt es auch Elotrans in Beuteln. Elotrans dürfte ähnlich benutzt werden wie Diarolyte oder Gastrolyte (Produktnamen als normales Nomen - Tempo, Zewa ... )
